I would question if this is allowable. I do not think it would be aligned to the purpose of the McKinney-Vento Act. I wonder if the college has ways to assist the student or can waive the costs. Also, are there supports to pay for this for students who are not MV but struggle financially?

@RachelMV, we also purchased books, donated them to the public libraries and school libraries. I will definitely have to check out the ones on your list we did not purchase. In addition to Saturday at the Food Pantry, Home and Carry Me Away we really liked No Fixed Address and Dear Librarian.

Hello @Emackie, are these credit recovery classes offered by the district, if so your district should consider waiving the fee for students experiencing homelessness. If this is not possible then MV funds could be used to defray the cost to remove barriers to enrollment and retention in school.
