Hello @Emackie, are these credit recovery classes offered by the district, if so your district should consider waiving the fee for students experiencing homelessness. If this is not possible then MV funds could be used to defray the cost to remove barriers to enrollment and retention in school.

@NicoleMV, I see a lot of homeless liaisons also serve as foster care, some similarities between the two programs but each have unique needs and supports available. In our area about 75% of homeless liaisons are also the foster care liaison. What does NAIE stand for?

Refer families to services to support physical health, mental health, dental, housing and other needs. The Building Community Connections Webinar in the Video Library is a great way to fill our toolboxes in order to meet this requirement.

Providing support to students who are experiencing homelessness and attending virtually does have it’s unique challenges. I wonder how you go about identifying students Amanda, since you do not get to see them on a regular basis.
