I recommend connecting with your community partners to see if they have funds available to cover the fees until the student has an income and can take over the cost. Another option, check into your school community – do you have a “Friday Jeans Fund” or other donations in your school community that offer more flexibility for your program? Connect with staff, parent-teacher organizations, local faith-based partners, and let them know more about your work and the students you support. Many people want to help but do not know how, or even that McKinney-Vento exists. Hope these suggestions prove to be beneficial!
