How long have you been a liaison? Did you just start or are you a vet? Do you have a good idea of what you’re doing, or are you just trying to get through the year? What other duties do you have in your district? Do you have a team or do you do your job alone?
I served as my district’s liaison for almost 9.5 years. I was a 12-month employee and was one of the lucky ones to be able to focus on MV 80% of my time. The rest of my time was on another program funded by our Federal Programs Dept. At least 7 years, I was on my own. Once we received ARP funds, I was able to hire an assistant (which was AMAZING).

As far as support with your new role, tell me more. It sounds like you have other responsibilities and managing the responsibilities of this role on top of others is challenging. Where is the training website? I seem to have lost it and my memory isn’t working well because I am ill today. This is my first year, and I am lost and can’t find where I started training. We have very few students who qualify, and no Foster children in the Middle School at this time. Hoping that I will get it together or we will hire a Social Worker in the near future. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Before Christmas break probably isn’t the ideal timing either. Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!
