You are are doing great work. Sometimes that shine needs a little dusting. Don’t be afraid to take time for selfcare and always know you are not alone! 🙂

Why? To make sure all students have a chance at success! That they feel empowered and loved by at least one person, Me!

Why? Because it’s worth it. These families are worth it every single time, no bias. So just here doing what I can when I can.

    • Thank you for the reflection. At first, I was exasperated to have another duty added to my day. Then I drove to work and saw families living in an abandoned vehicle, during the winter, with windows foggy. I had to check myself and think that could easily be one of my nieces or nephews; old enough to be on their own, raising their own family, but with no where to live. Changing my mindset is the most rewarding for this position. Things didn’t go as planned this year, but I am going to put myself out there to advocate for the needs of students.

I have to remind myself sometimes to regroup and reload and that is ok. It took me a bit to allow myself that grace. But this work is challenging and you are not alone. <3
