Hey Michigan Liaisons,

I’m helping a family in the Upper Peninsula who had to move out of their home due to mold. It’s bad! The damage won’t be covered under insurance and the family is scrambling to find assistance. Is anyone aware of a program or company that helps with mold removal free/low-cost? Thanks!!

      @RachelMV I want to say my DHHS contact had some resources for this. I will look to see if I can find it or maybe reach out to your DHHS contact.

      @RachelMV – check with your CoC to see if they have flexible grant funds available. We have been able to access funds through our Alliance for Housing to assist families in removing barriers to housing. There was a section on the application for “Other” where a detailed description of the need could be stated if not already listed on the application. Our families were able to access up to $1,500 for this particular grant.
