Do you have a resource center?

Do you have a resource center?

Do you have a room, or even a building, that your students/families in need can visit and collect resources (clothing, hygiene products, school supplies etc.). Do you have food pantries at your schools or clothing closets spread throughout your district or in one central location? Tell us all about it!

    • I started Friday Markets about 4 years ago. They are on the 2nd and 4th Fridays when school is in session. It is a portable set up. The students visit right after school. Last Friday we served 68 students in 10 minutes. I provide school supplies, personal care items, clothing and some food. Just last week, (after 2 years of working with Eastern Il Foodbank) out district was approved by EIF and Co. health dept. to provide a food pantry on site. The Market area is expanding – by the end of school, we will have a Shop (clothing, school supplies, personal hygiene), Laundry and Food Pantry. This is an ALL inclusive Market and most items are donated. The Market is open on Wednesdays during student lunch hour.
