I have had several situations in which a student moves to another district or into my district under homeless circumstances. It seems that no matter what the circumstances may be, it is always found that the student’s last residence of substantial permanent housing is my district, or they are somehow not homeless when doubled up moving into my district. This is frustrating, especially since it is cumbersome to dispute.

    • How are they found not homeless if doubled up in your district? Is the cyber school contesting the M-V determination, or is it the previous district?

    • I can absolutely relate to this. We just make the biggest effort to collaborate with all involved members to discuss best interest for the children!
