I have spent the last year working with a young male who has been experiencing literal homelessness. The family has lived in the canyon, on the street, in a storage unit, and now in a car. It breaks my heart to know that others in my community have been treating this family as if they were trash. This young male is so resilient; his ability to continue his education day after day with all that is going on impresses me. I do not think I could do it if I were him. He will be someone I will never forget.
