It’s so good to meet you all!
I’m honored to have the opportunity to share my “why.”
At 17 years old, I was a F.I.T. (Family in Transition) with a 4-year-old daughter. The McKinney-Vento Act was not enacted until two years later, so the resources and support available today were not yet in place. However, I was blessed to have wonderful teachers, counselors, and other caring individuals who saw our situation, cared about us, and helped my daughter and me navigate those difficult times.
Those experiences have stayed with me and shaped my passion for serving families who may be experiencing homelessness. Today, I have the privilege of being able to provide support, resources, and encouragement to families who may be walking through some of the same challenges I once faced.
My “why” is simple: I know firsthand how much a caring person, a helping hand, and someone who believes in you can make a difference. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be that person for someone else.
