Great question @campbellcr. Since McKinney-Vento eligibility does not automatically roll over to the new school year, making a determination on whether the family is still experiencing homelessness is important. It sounds like you did just that. Since they are still experiencing homelessness then you would identify the student as homeless for this year. I am assuming you are the school of origin. Keeping the student in your school provides that educational stability.
